For this activity we had to take/ or chose a photo of ourselves playing a  sports, I have chosen to pick a photo of our class playing turbo sports at kiwi sports. I picked this sport because I enjoyed playing turbo touch with my class and family, It's a fun thing to play wether you get along with the people or not.

Activity 2

For this activity we had to tell who our sporting hero is and why, I have chosen Valerie Adams because she has gone through alot and she also has a baby and is an amazing wife and mum. Although she looks strong and scary she is a caring person and that is what makes her her.

The magic faraway tree

Today for highschool week we had to make a remake of our favourites book cover, Here is mine. My book is from Enid Blyton and it is about 3 kids finding a forest and eploring the magic features.

This week is highschool week and as one of our task we had to find an old cathedral and find out certain things about the building as in where is is, when it was made and how long it took.

Eduardo Kobra Report

Eduardo Kobra - The 9/11 victims

 The 9/11 attack was a big thing that had happened and a lot of dogs and people had suffered from depression. Eduardo created this mural because he aimed it at showing the essence of his work as a muralist and his view on the world, As in immigration and refugees, as well as the history of the city. He said it had taken 3 years for him to complete this mural and that he sees the mural as “the capital of the world”.

I chose Eduardo Kobra because he paints things about what is happening in  our world and what problems have been happening, he has been making a few things known by his art. Eduardo is from São Paulo, State of São Paulo, Brazil. Eduardo goes  around his country and around the world painting things that have happened in the past or are happening at the time. 

He has a lot of paintings around the world and they all have a certain meaning, some could be based on what is happening in the world during the time he is painting. Mind you, many many people paint something related to what is happening in the world during the time they’re painting. In a large amount of murals Eduardo Kobra has painted they have to have something to do either with the city or with the time.

Eduardo Kobra had made this painting in new york for the men/women who had been a victim in the 9/11 attack on the 1st of september 2001. Many many people and animals had been affected on the day of the attack, Some people had suffered for years until they had gotten help, the victims of the attack went through a lot and Eduardo Kobra thought that they should be recognized upon the city and world.

Top tips for commenting

 

Today we had a cybersmart lesson and talked about top tips for commenting on others blogs, we learnt about what you should and shouldn't do when commenting.

    This week we had to create a drawing of a symbol that was close to us, We are creating geometric art for our art exhibition. We are creating a big mural for it,

James Naismith

James Naismith was the inventor of basketball, One new thing that I had learnt about his throughtout this task is that he was told to make a new physical contact sport to play for when football season ended. Me and Alanna had been given a task to make a powerpoint by our teacher about James Naismith and his story of why he had invented basketball.
