This week is Maori language so we're getting intronuced to more maori food and games, Today we played a game called 'Poi rakau' this game is when each person playing has a wooden stick and stand in a circle.
'Whaka te Maui' is Left
'Whaka te Matou' is Right
How the game goes is you all stand in a circle and one or two person stand aside and yell out either Whaka te Maui or Whaka te Matou, Slowly people start to get out as you start to go faster. It leaves you with two people. the person/people that stood aside is now going to stand in the middle of the two people and yell Whaka te Maui or Whaka te Matou, if they both drop the stick then you have to keeping going until one person gets out.
I am a learner at Glen Taylor School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am in Room 12 and my teacher is Mr. Nikiforuk.

James Naismith
James Naismith was the inventor of basketball, One new thing that I had learnt about his throughtout this task is that he was told to make a new physical contact sport to play for when football season ended. Me and Alanna had been given a task to make a powerpoint by our teacher about James Naismith and his story of why he had invented basketball.

Journal Entry
What future do you think you will be doing when you finish college?
In the future I don’t actually know what I'll be doing, either working in a place with plates chattering, oil popping and Karen asking for our manager or sitting in a courtroom defending my patient who got accused of something they may or may not have done.
I hope to be helping them, making sure they don’t go jail and over all being the best that they could get or I hope to be the manager yelling back at Karen and making sure she gets back what she deserves.
That’s what I hope the future holds ahead of us, I don’t want to be that one person that sits in their room all day and all night. The one person that never goes out or the one person people don’t talk to, I don’t want to be the one person that doesn’t have a job. I want to be the person who can get out and go places or the person who can help people when they need help. This is the work we have been assigned for the first class of lockdown, I hope everyone is staying safe in quarantine.
